Books, Magazines, & Newspapers
Our collection consists of over 24,000 books and magazines available for checkout. We subscribe to about 17 different magazines, including: Taste of Home, Creating Keepsakes, Good Housekeeping, Newsweek, Consumer Reports, People, and more. All books and magazines can be checked out for 2 weeks (renewals can be made over the phone or in the library).
Join us every Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. during the school year (September to April) for Toddler Time and Story Time (for all children ages 0 to 6).
Cost of Printing
- $0.20/page for black and white or $0.50 for color
- Printing double-sided is considered two pages
Our library will proctor testing for those taking online courses. We have a private study room with an internet-access computer to meet your testing needs.
This service is currently not available at our library. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Looking for a book we don’t have? We can order it for you from another library and have it here for you usually within a few weeks. The price of return postage is the only cost!
Kindle Fire Use
We have been generously granted money to purchase Kindles for use in the library for children. These are available at the front desk, and can be checked out for IN library use for 1 hour.
Overdrive is a program that allows patrons to borrow e-books, audiobooks, and other materials through the generous help of the Utah State Library. This program can be used on any electronic device that has access to internet, websites and apps. To access this database please go to https://utahsonlinelibrary.overdrive.com/ or look for the app on your electronic app database. Register your account, and use your library card and password to access and borrow materials. If you need assistance please contact the library.
Public Internet Access
The Nephi Public Library currently has 7 computers for public internet use. Our computers also feature word-processing programs. Sign up in the library and start browsing!
We have in our collection some older books available to the public (Family histories, Local histories, High School yearbooks, etc.). These books do not check out from the library, but copies can be made from most of them for personal use.
Summer Reading Program
The Summer Reading Program is designed to keep children and young adults reading during the summer break, there are a variety of prizes they can earn throughout the summer. Activities every Wednesday in June from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Videos & DVDs
We have over 1000 videos and DVDs available for checkout. There is no fee to check them out, and they can be checked out for 2 weeks (renewals can be made over the phone or in the library).
